On 21 January, 2004, the Rice Lake Tourism Commission's vision of placing a web cam in the Rice Lake area to show off the Rice Lake community was completed at Turtleback Golf Course. In a joint venture between Rice Lake Tourism, Turtleback Golf Club, and DCS Netlink people from all over the globe are now able to visually see into the community of Rice Lake on a real-time basis. The web cam looks east and takes snapshots of the golf course, Rice Lake, and the beautiful Blue Hills every 30 seconds. The pictures are then sent to the Internet via DCS Netlink's "Skywalk" Wireless Internet Radios.
